The street is always full of action: the wind sways leaves and bushes warmed by the sun, animals and birds move, various insects rest on the detector case. This diversity of flora and fauna creates constant impediments that make it difficult for outdoor motion detectors to spot the real threat: humans. We solved this problem at both the software and hardware levels by implementing two PIR sensors and developing a unique two-phase signal analysis algorithm, LISA.

Correlational analysis

Every time MotionProtect Outdoor detects movement, LISA analyzes and compares the shapes of the signals coming from the two sensors in real time. If they are similar, the alarm is activated.

Spectral analysis

When both sensors detect motion but correlational analysis does not identify sufficient similarities, LISA compares the frequency components in the signals from both sensors.

Intelligent anti-masking system

An external detector is an easy target. During the day, when the system is disarmed, intruders can block the view or damage the sensors, to gain an advantage in night-time intrusions. To prevent cases of sabotage, we have equipped MotionProtect Outdoor with an anti-tamper button and an advanced anti-masking system that can remain active 24 hours a day. MotionProtect Outdoor's anti-masking system automatically calibrates by analyzing the surrounding area when mounting the device on the SmartBracket. Then, if an obstacle appears in the field of vision of the anti-masking sensors or if they are painted, the detector quickly notices the sabotage and raises the alarm. Additionally, even light tampering is recorded, such as when someone tries to dismantle the detector from the SmartBracket.

Ajax security systems protect users in all climate zones, from South Africa to Greenland. Hot or cold, snow or rain: MotionProtect Outdoor is ready for any climate. The outdoor detector works for up to 5 years with pre-installed batteries. Furthermore, to increase autonomy and simplify maintenance in extreme conditions, we have provided the possibility of using external power.

Detectors can be installed without Hood if mounted under a cover. Alternatively the detectors can be installed with Hood to protect the anti-masking system from rain and snow.

Easy installation

To connect MotionProtect Outdoor to the hub, simply scan the QR code with your smartphone camera. Thanks to the SmartBracket mounting plate, the device can be installed without dismantling the case. Use the Ajax app to test and configure the detector. At the same time, however, installing external detectors is a professional task. It requires an assessment of the landscape, understanding potential break-in points and anticipating possible interference issues.
