Automatic battery charger and maintainer for lead acid and LiFePO4 6V and 12V batteries

AlcaPower SX-3 is an intelligent, multi-phase battery charger equipped with a microcontroller that allows you to manage the charge and maintenance of lead acid batteries (WET, AGM, VRLA and GEL) with a nominal voltage of 6V and 12V. Furthermore, thanks to the dedicated mode, it is able to charge 12.8V LiFePO4 batteries up to a maximum of 15Ah.

6V Mode

This mode allows you to charge lead acid batteries with a nominal voltage of 6V. Once the battery is connected to the charger, the latter automatically detects its voltage. If the voltage is between 2V~7V, the battery charger starts the 6V mode and charges the battery with a maximum current of 2.5A. The charge status indicator LEDs (25% LED, 50% LED, etc.) light up in sequence until the battery has reached the maximum possible charge. At this point the battery charger lights up the 100% LED and starts the battery maintenance phase.

12V Mode

This mode allows the charging of lead batteries with a nominal voltage of 12V. Once the battery is connected to the charger, the latter automatically detects its voltage. If the voltage is between 7V~14V, the battery charger starts the 12V mode and charges the battery with a maximum current of 2.5A. The charge status indicator LEDs (25% LED, 50% LED, etc.) light up in sequence until the battery has reached the maximum possible charge. At this point the charger lights up the 100% LED and starts the battery maintenance phase.

LITHIUM Mode

By holding down the MODE button for 3 seconds you can access the LITHIUM charging mode, specifically designed for charging LiFePO4 batteries with a nominal voltage of 12.8V and capacities between 2Ah and 15Ah. If the battery voltage is between 11.6V~13.8V, the charger starts charging with a maximum current of 2.5A. The charging status indicator LEDs (LED25%, LED50% etc.) light up in sequence until the battery reaches a voltage of 14.5V, after which the 100% LED lights up to indicate that the battery is charged. Use the SX-3 only to charge LiFePO4 batteries equipped with a BMS (Battery Management System) protection circuit.
