HD1050 8 ohm 100W high frequency driver
HD1050 8 ohm 100W high frequency driver
Driver 8 ohm 100W high frequency HD1050
The HD1050 One Inch Output High Frequency Compression Driver has been designed for use in high quality audio systems. Featuring Eighteen Sound's proprietary Phase Plug architecture, the HD1050 has been designed to provide high-level production consistency and a smooth, consistent wavefront at the horn input across the full working frequency range. The phase plug with its short apertures and high flare rate ensures low distortion and shows noticeable improvements in the reproduction of mid-high frequencies. The diaphragm assembly consists of a titanium dome sandwiched onto a patented treated polyester suspension unit. It was designed to maintain low resonance by lowering the minimum crossover point value to 1.4kHz. An edge-wound aluminum voice coil, wound on proprietary Nomex, completes the diaphragm assembly. Due to its physical properties, the proprietary treated Nomex moulder has a 30% higher tensile elongation value at a working operating temperature (200 ° C) than Kapton. This function allows proper control of the energy transfer from the voice coil to the dome under real working conditions. In addition, this patented legacy material is also suitable for use in rooms with a higher moisture content. The powerful HD1050 ceramic magnet assembly has been designed to achieve 16 KGauss in space and within a compact ferrite motor structure.
