The 15W750 low frequency loudspeaker satisfies the specific market demand for a loudspeaker that combines good linearity and efficiency with high power handling capabilities, containing a Ø 75 mm aluminum voice coil. While primarily intended for use in tuned SLR enclosures, the 15W750's versatile features make it suitable for a wide variety of enclosure types, particularly as a subwoofer or as an LF driver in 2 systems. When used in a 2-way system, we recommend a 1.4 "or 2" output compression driver for the best sound quality. The deep profile curvilinear paper cone was made using a special high strength wood pulp and designed to achieve the best possible linearity within the expected frequency range and to control the bell resonances around the circumference of the cone. The cone is supported by an unusually deep profile, triple roller suspension formed from a linen-like material that is more resistant to aging and fatigue than traditional cotton-based materials used in conventional edging. The Ø 75 mm aluminum voice coil uses ISV (Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil) technology, in which a high strength glass fiber former transports the windings on both the outer and inner surface to obtain a mass balanced coil. This results in an extremely linear power package with a low tendency for eccentric behavior when driven strongly. The magnetic structure was optimized using our internal CAD FEA resource which maximized the flux density in the voice coil gap. Excellent heat dissipation was also achieved by incorporating air channels between the basket and the magnetic top plate. Due to the increased use of audio systems at outdoor events, the 15W750's ability to operate in adverse weather conditions or in areas of high humidity is a big plus. This was achieved thanks to exclusive treatments that allow the cone and the magnetic plate to resist corrosion and at the same time make the cone water repellent.
