The HD2080T 2 inch output high frequency compression driver has been designed for use in high quality installed audio systems, where weight is not the key. The structure of the motor, throughout the phase connector perfectly consistent with 3 circumferential slots and copper ring on the pole piece, reduces the effects of inductance and distortion. Four top plate air ducts were applied to act as a load chamber for the diaphragm, implementing midband distortion and response figures. The HD2080T diaphragm assembly consists of a titanium dome sandwiched onto a patented treated polyester suspension utility. It was designed to maintain low resonance by lowering the minimum crossover point value to 1.2kHz. Due to its physical properties, the proprietary treated Nomex moulder has a 30% higher tensile elongation value at a working operating temperature (200 ° C) than Kapton. This function allows a correct control of the energy transfer from the voice coil to the dome in real working conditions. Furthermore, this former patented material is also suitable for use in rooms with a higher moisture content. The powerful HD2080T ceramic magnet assembly is designed to achieve 16KGauss in space. Excellent heat dissipation and heat exchange are guaranteed by the direct contact between the magnetic structure and the aluminum cover which leads to a lower power compression value.
